I spring cleaned, donated, and chucked out.

Do you ever stop to consider how blessed we are?

Yesterday, when I was cleaning out, I realized just how blessed I am....especially in the shoe department. I mean, how many people can get rid of seven pairs of shoes and still have at least ten pairs left?

Every time I accomplish this task, I think about all the little boys and girls overseas that barely have anything. What they would do to have at least two pairs of shoes, much less seven! Anyways, I am definitely counting my blessings....

Before the task was tackled. =)
All organized....

Yup, the shoes I donated.

Two of the three "get-rid-of-bags."

I am blessed!

I found it!....Instagram.

So, my sister introduced me to the amazing instagram....

* The sis, the amazing Mr. Jack Zorn, and me.
* Sometimes, the sister and I am just crazy like that.
* Hanging out at the 40. No kidding. They were just all parked...chit-chatting.
* I'm hooked.
* It's me! =)
* The sis snuck this shot of the brother and me without us knowing...all of us were ready to be home from a day at the workplace.

Friday's Letters (#2)...

Dear Mosquito's and Gnats,
Would you please bug off?! I'm trying to enjoy my walk and you're not helping matters any.

Dear McAlister's Deli Manager,
Since we are in your store almost every week, that you for making our night by saying that sentence: "It's on me tonight." *Cue the tears....*

Dear Stop-and-Go Traffic,
You aren't so bad. You just gave me that much more time to spend with the brother....listening to law lectures and hearing all of Cha-Cha's pick-up lines. ;)

Dear "Adopted" Little Sis,
Thank you for coming to visit. You are one of the best little girls EVER!! If it weren't for you, Henny and Penny would not be named.

Dear Henny and Penny,
You are so faithful. Your 2 eggs everyday are so amazing. FYI, I admire you for putting up with that early-bird rooster of yours.

Dear Pollen,
I never knew what allergies were until you came along...

Dear World,
You are really scaring me in the direction you are heading...just thought I'd let you know.

Dear Lord,
Please save the sinful.... Thank you for taking care of the faithful....

a friend of mine...

Hey peoples!
Today, Eryka (so sorry about mis-spelling your name the first time! :) is taking over my blog.
And guess what?... I'm taking over hers (insert evil laugh).
She is just amazing...so go give her some loves.

Who, What Where?
Eryka: Blogger, Wifey- Utah

Her 6 sentence short story is...
Born and raised in California. I always thought I was a true California girl, I loved it there. Then I got married and now I live in Utah, I love it here. I am now a Utah girl. What can I say? I guess I was born to be a Utah girl. So I guess my story is I am a Utah girl now and I love it. Super exciting short story, huh? hahaha!

Her blog is called...

The thing at the heart of her blog is...
sharing my thoughts, the things that inspire me and my life as a wifey.

6 things that make her world go round...
My husband
My family
The love my Heavenly Father has for me
Laughter
Friends
Love

Her perfect film would consist of...
Something set in the 1960's. Since I love that era and always say I was born in the wrong decade. Something with a love story, and plenty of humor too. I'm sucker for a romance comedy. Such as: 27 dresses, Bride Wars, 13 going on 30, Grease, Leap Year, and The Holiday. Those are just a few of my favs!

Friday's Letters...

Dear Daddy,
I'm so excited about your runoff. Let's go talk to some more peeps!

Dear Mom,
Thank you for your patience...the semester's almost over. ;)

Dear Brother,
Thank you for scanning the random items on your registry...

Dear Sissy,
Thank you for hanging with me in the parking lot. If we had to wait much longer for the poll results, I think I would have fainted. "Those bugs sound like women screaming."

Dear Indy,
Thank you for wanting to be the wife of my brother. :) I can't wait to start life with you as my other sister.

Dear weather,
Thank you for becoming warm so that I can wear my favorite shoe... the flip flop.

Dear new friends,
Thanks for letting me make you.

Dear "Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Card" book,
You have changed my life...for the better.

Dear Reese's Peanut Butter Cups,
You have worked well. You can now take a bow.

Dear apple cinnamon oatmeal,
You have been great. Keep up the good work.

Dear church family,
I don't see how people live without you...

Dear Jesus Christ,
Thank you for listening to what I have to say...no matter how small or lame it may be.

When We All Get to Heaven

"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.:
Matthew 16:19

Eliza Edmunds Hewitt was one of the premier women hymnwriters of the late 1800s and the early 1900s. She wrote the popular hymn, "Singing I Go Along Life's Road," which was to have such a profound influence of George Beverly Shea. She is also the author of "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown?" "My Faith Has Found a Resting Place," "Sunshine in My Soul," "More About Jesus," and this hymn, "When We All Get to Heaven."

It came to her as she studied John 14, where Jesus told His disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

But this wasn't Eliza's only hymn about heaven. Though now seldom-sung, one of her most unique songs is entitled,"The Everlasting Hymn," in which she imagines the majesty of worshipping the Lord as we gather around Him in the heavenly places, vibrantly echoing the biblical song of the angels:

Holy, Holy, Holy; Angels voices singing;
Holy, Holy, Holy, through high heaven ringing.
From that temple, pure and bright, Bathes in streams of crystal light,
Hear the everlasting hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy.

Holy, Holy, Holy; Grandest music swelling;
Holy, Holy, Holy, All sweet notes excelling,
Those who conquered by His might, Wearing now their crowns of light,
Join the everlasting hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy.

Holy, Holy. Holy; Come let us adore Him;
Holy, Holy, Holy, Humbly bow before Him.
Wisdom, glory, love, and might, With the seraphim unite
In the everlasting hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy.

That's what we'll be singing--when we all get to heaven.

*don't forget to pause the playlist at the bottom of the blog. :)

a roadtrip with just us girlies...

A couple of weeks ago, Mom, my sister, my other bestie Lur, and I went on a road trip to Henderson, Tennessee. Lur spent the night with us the night before so that we could get a VERY early start the next morning. We talked lots and lots (to Mem's dismay ;) and got no some sleep.

The next morning, we loaded up at 5:30 a.m. and hit the road, on our way to the Bible lectureships at Freed-Hardeman University. I think we went over the limit of having fun...we had TOO MUCH of it. :)

Here are a few words to sum it all up....
headphones and ipods, freshly plucked eyebrows, sneaky text messages (Lur told me to do it ;D), hot rollers, beds made on the floor, Lur talking to me in her sleep (yeah, hilarious), miss bossy the GPS, nervousness before meeting someone new yet not so new, pit-stop at DG, 5 minute naps, meeting new and old friends, an arrangement of roses for the friend, a house full of 6 girls with 1 bathroom (it is doable actually), chapel singing and sermons, wifi hot spots, Jacks chicken fingers and fries

Lur and me...jammin'...okay, quietly, listening to our headphones... ;P

Only 1 minute left!!!

Me and Rae Rae...my "adopted" little sister.

Oh, how I love hanging with friends!

An "on the road" snack....healthy, huh? ;D

And I can't wait till the next one....whenever that will be....

What a sunshine...

Jessica over at Before the I Do’s passed the Sunshine Award to me.
Jessica, you are just amazing. This award was the cherry on top of my week. J
When you receive the Sunshine Award you have the privilege (yes, peoples, answering these questions is a privilege ;) to answer these fun and amazing questions.
Are you ready for my answers?... Well, here we go!

Favorite Color:
Well, red has always been the color I have told people until a few years ago.  When someone asked what my favorite color was, I would always answer, “Red.” But now, it is definitely pink. And it is even better if the colors pink and brown come together. I have even thought about my wedding colors being hot pink and brown someday….interesting, huh? Yeah, I love it.

Favorite Animal:
A horse. Growing up with them would automatically make them my favorite….yup, a horse. Cows are pretty gross cool too, and we would love to have some.  Maybe after we buy a hundred more acres of land… (yeah, that’s not going to happen anytime soon.)  Seriously though, I would love to have cows. Living on a ranch has been a dream of mine…maybe someday.

Favorite Number:
It changes everyday. It depends on what day it is and what mood I’m in. J Most of the time, it is the number 20. Why? Who knows…

 Favorite Non-alcoholic drink:

I have really fallen in love with the Sobe lifewater’s. Ever since I stopped drinking carbonated drinks, I have really taken a liking to the things. Not to mention, they have a variety of amazing flavors. (Yes, I just made a sales pitch for you, Sobe. You’re very welcome.)

Facebook or Twitter:
Neither. Know why? Because I have neither one of them! Yes, I consider myself a free bird. ;)

My Passion:
It depends on what you mean…can school be my passion? Because right now, that’s pretty much what consumes my life. ;)

Getting or Giving Presents:
I do not want to sound like I am tooting my own horn, but I LOVE to give presents. Giving makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But, hey, who doesn’t like receiving a gift from someone else every now and then? :D

Favorite Pattern:
Hands down, no questions asked…POLKA-DOTS!!!!!!!

Favorite Day of the Week:
I really love every day. I count every day as a gift from God and we need to live it like it is our last one. I mean, who doesn’t like 8:00 a.m. work traffic on a Tuesday morning?….it’s a blessing too, believe it or not.

Favorite Flower:
Hmmmm, probably a daisy or a sunflower…my choice could change tomorrow....

Now to pass it off to 5 other bloggers....

There you go. Go give these lovelies some lovin'. :)

some "dressing modestly" words ;)

"God had not formed woman out of the head, lest she should become proud; nor out of the eye, lest she should lust; nor out of the ear, lest she should be curious; nor out of the heart, lest she should be jealous; nor out of the hand, lest she should be covetous; nor out of the foot, lest she be a busy body; but out of the rib, which was always covered",
indicating that women should dress modest.

-Ancient Jewish Rabbis

This is a picture I found online.
Doesn't she look so fashionable and lady-like?

you know, that comment verification thingy?

Yeah, that thing.

I love y'all's blogs and would really like to comment on more of them. But, recently, I have had a horrible time commenting on your blogs because of having to verify my comments.

I mean, I understand how you don't want weird or not-wanted people commenting, but, I have so much trouble making out all the letters and words. :D I mean, the computer verification is definitely smarter than me!

Instructions on how to do this awesome favor:
For those of you who have the new blog interface, switch to the old interface to change it because I honestly haven't found how to change word verification on the new one.
If you have the new interface & don't know how to get to the old one.
Do this:
1)Click on the maintenance looking thing beside the language button, when you hoover over it; it'll say blogger options, then click on old blogger interface.
2) Than find where it says settings, than click on the tab that says comments.
3) Scroll down until you see "show word verification for comments" & change it to NO :)
It's really easy & I'd love you forever :)
It might even allow me to better post a comment on your blog rather than spending majority of the time trying to figure out what the actual letters are!
Y'all are the best!

(Thanks Breanna for posting this post. I hope you don't mind that I spread the word on my blog.... ;)
