jamaica :: day nine

a late saturday morning, a relaxing day to rest after the rewarding week, a shopping trip to ocho rios, pirana joes store, china-made t-shirts bought, an exchange rate of 99 J's to 1 American, gas bought by the liter, afternoon card games and restful naps, freshening up for dinner guests, jamaican brethren from the church coming to eat with us at the hotel, singing and devo, a birthday celebrated, lots of smiles and happiness radiating about the room.

jamaica :: day eight

daddy leading the morning devo, french toast with sugar, gathering at church for devo before heading out, going to the top of the mountain, crazy american driving, church flyers, walking in downtown and inviting people to church, Bible studies, lunch at Bucaneers restaurant, an afternoon nap, phase 10 games, jamaican spaghetti, passing by in the van and almost hitting brother jimmy standing outside other van, "God's help in time of need", tons of flying ants crawling on the floor during the sermon, 3 new sisters and 1 new brother in Christ, gender reveal news from the cousins in the states, a Skype date, having sweet dreams thinking of the amazing campaign that had just been completed.

a and m :: shower number two

it was a sunday afternoon.

the sun was shining and the ladies were gathering.

the church fellowship hall was a bustling place.

the decorations had been set and the ice cream and toppings were waiting to be enjoyed.

and then, the presents were passed to the bride-to-be and the ooh's and aah's began.

pictures in picture frames, towels, and a handmade apron, all the gifts were loved, each and every one.

company was enjoyed and quality time with sister's in Christ was treasured.

while the party was being cleaned up and the tables were set straight, the bride and family and a few friends went outside for a few snapshots.

jamaica :: day seven

raisins in the pancakes, tired eyes, a still muggy morning, the last day of VBS, 3-month-old April cuddles, a story of Daniel, a record breaking crowd of kids (115+), ice cream cones with pink ice cream, a beef juci patti for lunch, a drizzly evening, an afternoon nap where i slept so hard mom had to wake me so i wouldn't miss dinner, rice and beef, smaller crowd at gospel meeting due to storm coming, a skype date, falling into bed for a great night's sleep.

mine and sis's class broke record crowds the last day. ;p
