we've been invaded...by an uninvited guest.

“Eek! Please come get it!” I have yet to get up the courage to pick one up….even with a wad of tissue. Most of the time, the brother or mom comes to the rescue. Even the sis has come running to deliver me from the frightening sight of the “little giant”.
We have been invaded.
Every few years, around this time, they come knocking on the door. Or, should I say, they come right on in…uninvited. We have many visitors welcomed into our home year round, but these "little giants" are unwelcome guests. The hideous sight of them is enough to make my skin crawl.
There may be one hiding in the cabinets behind pots and pans. Or, they greet us when we open up our closets to pick out an outfit for the day. We are even blessed with the surprise of seeing them in the washer when we go to start a load of whites and lights.
We have tried calling the man with his little wand and tank that is feared by them all. We have used bottles of poisonous spray…to many to count.
They still appear in troops without ever knowing a battle is raging.
Like a little mother mouse, always having babies (it seems).

Who is our uninvited guest?
The “little giant” that give me the ibby-gibbies. That little thing that can sneak up on you in an instant, and is actually a little pesky creature made by God.

You really want to know?
THE CRICKET!
That’s who.
credit...even though i dont think it needs one....=D

Our garage has been invaded by crickets but I heard it was good luck to have crickets around. Our garage is detached from the house so they don't get inside, I am sure if they ever helped themselves into the house I wouldn't consider it good luck :)

i would like to say i'm a little tougher than i am when it comes to anything creepy and crawly, but i'm not. they do not belong in my house and i will make my husband stop whatever he's doing to kill them for me:)
