hellooooo there, blog.
wow, it's been a while.
i just finished up reading some old posts and updating my "about me" page and a lot has happened since i have written in this little space.
i started this blog back when i was in high school as a way to document my family's adventures. it was also a creative outlet for me--a scrapbook journal of sorts.
i seriously, considered starting over new...fresh...in these coming days of bringing a blog back to life. but the more i thought about it, the more i was like, NO WAY!
it has seen me through a lot.
high school memories, difficult but good college days, sweet family moments, documenting the weddings of my older brother, younger sister, and my own, newlywed days in an unfamiliar place,....but most importantly, this blog is just filled with a lot of love.
it's a part of my story and i am excited to continue it--here in the same place i started it over 10 years ago.
tomorrow, doug and i will be celebrating SEVEN years of marriage. like, wut. it seems like yesterday i was walking down the isle to that man and promising him forever. that was one of the best decisions i've ever made in my life. the last few posts i wrote on this blog (in 2015) were in some of our newly married days--it's amazing to see how far we've come.
we have also added two kiddos since i last typed on these pages. motherhood is holy hard work. it is what i have always wanted and i am so so grateful i get to live out my little girl dream of being a wife & mama. there are mannnny days that i need grace and forgiveness on this motherhood journey. but i wouldn't trade anything in the world for this journey i am on.
we started our own business. what i always said i would never do, i now do. i have my own business doing network marketing (and all the ugly stares are on me ha!) with young living. i love helping families get started on their journey of ditching toxins in their home and teaching the lifestyle of wellness, purpose, and abundance. these last 5 years, young living and their products have changed our lives and we want it for all our friends too.
we would love for you to join our fun + supportive community here.
residual income is such a blessing and something i will never take for granted. i am so thankful for this opportunity i have to help support our family financially while also staying home + living my dream of being a stay-at-home wife & mama.
we have lived (are living through) some hardships of a pandemic. many have become sick and died which breaks my heart. but what is currently happening here in our country--decisions that our government leaders are now making--mandating things and taking some of our american rights--i fear for ours & our kids future. brave people are taking a stand and many are reaping the consequences because of it.
God is in control and has us in the palm of His hands--that is what i am taking comfort in these days.
many family accomplishments & victories have happened since i last posted. some days are really hard, but i believe we are truly living some of our best days.
this blog is a little space that i hope, will be a small bit of sunshine in the world.
welcome (back) along for the ride.
