A Memorial Day Recap.

Today was amazing. Period.

Picnicking and hiking at a state park with the future sis-in-law and grandparents consumed our wonderful Memorial Day.

So many wonderful (and not so wonderful ;D) memories were made....

Mem and I enjoyed the swings while we were waiting for the food to finish on the grill.





Yes, peoples. That is chicken and ribs!

Mem: "I think it's raining." (While she says this, a liquid substance falls all around us.)
Grandaddy (while wiping a white liquid off his shirt): "Mem, I don't think that is rain."

Yes, y'all, we were blessed to be right under a tree, at just the right time, when a lovely bird flew over our picnic table....
It was definitely a memory that we will never forget. ;D



About to begin the strenuous hike...although, some of us didn't realize what we were getting into....haha!

I mean, who has a 78-year-old grandfather who goes hiking with you?
Much less, knows how to take pictures with his phone?? ;D





Wading in the water was a highlight on the quite warm day...

Well there you go. :) A peek into our Memorial Day.

Besides a little sunburn and a cut on a leg, we were very grateful for the safe and happy time spent with family. ;)
